After appearing on the highest rating TV show in Australia in 2014, the bubbly and positive couple won the nations hearts with their positivity and love for everyone around them and each other.

The endearing duo have been winning the hearts of viewers with their positive attitude since entering as gatecrashers in the third instant restaurant round. Carly, with her lucky charms and magical affirmations, has been affectionately dubbed ‘Kooky Carly’. They have even been known to assist rival teams in a sudden death showdown - “a competition first”, as Pete called it. After coming out publicly during the airing of the show they unknowingly created a media frenzy with story inspiring many others all around the globe!

Carly grew up on the Central Coast of NSW with her parents and two younger twin brothers. With living in a seaside town she would spend most of her time with family and friends at the beach or working hard to become one of the most inspirational teachers around! Carly works as a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Teacher and University Lecturer in the Lake Macquarie and Newcastle Region.

Tresne grew up in a small country town, Clarence Town, 45mins north of Newcastle with her parents and two older brothers. She grew up playing a variety of sports including Rugby League, cricket, soccer, netball…you name it she did it! Tresne’s parents opened their family business Terrace Tiles Pty Ltd Tresne learnt to cook and then became the household chef! Tresne now works as a driven and competitive Real Estate Sales agent at Steve Bates Real Estate in Port Stephens that loves to invest and renovate property.
